Song writing has always been in my blood. My father Phillip was a song writer for DJM (Dick James Music).
Even as a young child l’d enjoy writing stories, poems and songs. As a teenager, I started playing Bass and Guitar in various bands. I have always been passionate about original material.
Nowadays, I enjoy being a totally independent artist recording from home with as much of a “one-take” feel as possible.
I record with genuine vintage guitars and amps.
I am widely influenced by the 1960s , 70’s, 80’s and 90s and look up to John Lennon, Ray Davies, The Rolling Stones, Tom Petty, Sheryl Crow, Peter Green, Fleetwood Mac, John Waite, Bryan Adams and John Mellencamp to name just a few of many musical influences.
But the people, friends and family who inspire my songs are from the leafy green Surrey countryside, the Dorset coast and the tower blocks of London.
Nowadays, modern technology allows my much loved hobby to be shared Worldwide, something I am sincerely grateful for

Introducing “WATCH ME GO,” an exciting collection of new songs curated by a talented UK songwriter Paul Goodhand-Tait, featuring a couple of unreleased gems from the past for that extra touch of nostalgia. This album is not just a musical journey but a compelling narrative woven through heartfelt lyrics and dynamic melodies.
Dive into the depths of relationships with tracks like “LONELY OLD NIGHT,” exploring the challenges that come with love. “FIGHT BRUCE LEE & MR T” takes you on a journey through the lengths one would go to save a relationship. The title track, “WATCH ME GO,” originally crafted as Ring walk music, is a dedication to the spirit of those who’ve stepped into a boxing ring, filled with energy and determination.
Communication breakdowns in relationships are eloquently expressed in “TIP OF MY TONGUE,” capturing the struggle of knowing what to say but grappling with when and how to say it. “I DON’T KNOW” humorously delves into the frustration of attempting to fix things that don’t quite work out.
“I GOT YOU” is a simple yet profound acknowledgment that everyone needs someone. “DONE WITH LOVIN,” beautifully sung by Carmel, explores the highs and lows of love, embracing the strength needed to navigate through challenges.
Life’s ups and downs find expression in “IN BETWEEN A LAUGH & A TEAR,” reminding us that as long as we’re somewhere in between and looking at tomorrow, we’re doing okay. “GET GONE,” a timeless piece delivered by Chloe, empowers with the message that there’s no need to tolerate mistreatment in a relationship.
“CARRIED AWAY” reflects on the times when we let loose and get carried away, embracing the joy of living. “HERE WE GO AGAIN” tackles relationship issues, revealing a perspective that may seem childish from the outside looking in.
The smooth bluesy vibes of “YOU REALLY GOT IT GOING ON” celebrate admiration for those we’ve helped along the way. Crafted in collaboration with Mike, this track is a testament to the positive impact of lending a hand.
Experience the diverse range of emotions and stories told through these songs – “WATCH ME GO” is more than an album; it’s a musical odyssey that invites you to join in and feel the passion behind each note and lyric.

Get It Right Now
- Better Learn to Play That Guitar
- Let Her Know
- Get It Right Now
- All I Ever Wanted
- What’s on Your Mind
- Just a Little Bit More
This collection of songs was written during the 2020-2021 Lockdown era that most of us would rather forget,
The title track “Get it Right Now” is dedicated to Swedish activist “ Geta Thunberg “Who does so much unselfish work for u,s our children and grand-children. This Song is also my personal message to the UK Government and all world leaders that have and are still making so many mistakes, especially when it comes to looking after the planet, We Can All Do More!
“Better learn to play that Guitar” is a note to Myself,
“All I Ever Wanted” Reflects the confusing struggles of dealing with a new way of life due to the Covid 19 Virus and the importance of having and/ or being a Friend or loved one.
“Just A Little Bit More “is a salute to everyone who works so hard for so little, be it in the fields or on the front line – especially the NHS.
“Let Her Know” and “What’s on Your Mind” are, as the light hearted lyrics suggest, simple songs – both with a simple message: however the undertone is extremely serious “ that we all need to talk more”
Special thanks to all my friends and family for their continued support: Especially James Deane for additional guitars and his positive creative input.
This Album is dedicated to my Mother Pearl Goodhand-Tait RIP who sadly lost her brave fight with Covid 19 on the 26th January 2021

This collection of songs is a mixture of stories and life experiences that changed and progressed my view of the World and all the pleasure and pain it has to offer.
Inspired by many including The Rolling Stones,Tom Petty, Bryan Adams, Primal Scream, to Ed Sheeran, Jack Savarotti & Lewis Capaldi as well as the colourful characters amongst my friends and family, it’s light heartedly written with as much of a one take human feel as possible.
The under tone of this album is to always keep your dreams alive and never giving up what ever it is you enjoy!
Same Only Different
- My Girls Alright
- She Be Gone
- Come Around
- Shake Yr Rattle ‘n’ Rock Yr Roll
- Still in Love
- Thats Life
- Sick n Tired
- When We Were Foolish
- Somebody Should Have Told You
- Down the Alley with Sally
- Too Little too Late
- Let the Light of Love
- Better Get Ready
- As Long as I’ve Got You
This 2018 Album was written and recorded like most of my songs in my small humble home studio where I would spend creative hours jamming, often not knowing where I was heading until I got there, My Girls Alright, She Be Gone (ft Karl Jacobs lead Guitar), Shake Your Rattle & Rock your Roll and Down The Alley with Sally have that old skool RNB 12 bar Vibe that is a must when playing in Surrey. It’s been set out in the Rock n Roll hand book by those who blew the dust of the rafters before us ”Eric Clapton, The Faces, The Kinks and the Rolling Stones to name just a small selection.
Sick & Tired, That’s Life and Better Get Ready are heavily influenced by more raw punk era such as The Clash and Local Band The Vapors. Then to the other end of the spectrum the gently chilled “To Little to Late” Sung by Kate Dunstan.
Come Around, Still in Love & Better Get Ready were influenced Bryan Adams, Def Leopard, Bon Jovi and John Waite who I grew up listing to, mostly on cassettes in my car.
Then back to the middle of the road Country Rock for the songs Let The Light Of Love, Some Body Should Have Told You & When we were Foolish (Ft Darren Lucas lead Guitar)
What this Albums genre is, is irrelevant, its written with the same enthusiasm love and struggles that all naive kind spirits have when there trying so hard to prove they are good enough, and, although we may or may not be, “We have a lot of fun trying”
2020
- Day’s Like These
- Feel’s Like the First Time
- Rattle Your Bones
- Keep Your Head Up
- Only You Gonna Make It “Hurt so Good”
- Hanging out in the Sunshine
- Long Time Coming Around
- Malina “The Day Dream Beleiver”
2020, Pandemic, Covid 19, Virus – All of a sudden that nightmare that will never happen became a reality, These Songs were written during those dark uncertain times and working on them was welcome distraction from the constant messages of confusion coming from the media , DAYS LIKE THESE and KEEP YOUR HEAD UP are songs trying to acknowledge what was going on and be positive,
RATTLE YOUR BONES is a tongue in cheek fun RnR song Where as HANGING OUT IN THE SUNSHINE reflects fun times of freedom on the road that were sorely missed during Lockdown.
LONG TIME COMING AROUND and FEELS LIKE THE FIRST TIME represent the high’s and Lows of the Roller Coaster ride we call Love,
Probably My Favourite Track ONLY YOU GONNA MAKE IT HURT SO GOOD came together very quickly and again shares the highs and low’s of being in a relationship, I enjoy the feel of this style of middle of the road country rock music which I have always found inspirational thanks to The Eagles, John Mayer, Wheeler Bryson, Bryan Adams , John Mellencamp, Willy Nelson, Tom Petty to name just a few of many.
MALINA THE DAY DREAM BELIEVER is written about the cutest girl I’ve ever seen who will always have a place in my heart.
